There are many organizations
and businesses who generously help us out throughout the
year so we thought it appropriate to begin a
"Thanks"
list. It will grow rapidly. Thank you to all who helped the Sally
Ride Toy Challenge "Toy Squad" team to their great finish:
the Picker Engineering Program at Smith College, the
Electro-Optical Division of Kollmorgen, and
Servall Mechanical for
their generous monetary donations, Mr. Hill for all his time
donated as their coach, the parents who accompanied the team
at their own expense (Mrs. Poulin, Mrs. Wright, and Mr.
Connell), and to the many others along the way who helped
out in various ways. Thank you to
Dr.
Shelley Wilton
for her generosity in organizing and running a fundraiser
for the White Brook library. Through her efforts and all
those who helped, she raised over $2000 for additional books
for our library. Thank you to
Todd
Denis who has
donated gift certificates to Pizza, Wings, and Things for
those with perfect attendance throughout the first quarter
term. Thank you to the
ECA
for all the years they helped us with dances, as well as
with monitary donations which were used in many different
areas. We appreciate all their help over the
years. STRAT thanks
Julius
Ford for coming
this year to do two assemblies. TIO (Talk It Out) thanks
Michael
Doherty a
mediator from the Housing Court of WMass, and
Andrew
Burger, a
Non-Violent Communication instructor, for coming to talk
with the peer mediators about their careers using mediation
skills. TIO also thanks
Christine
and Fat Trax for
donating a skateboard to our fundraiser. Thank you to
Rosie
McMahon who has
been volunteering her time and expertise this year doing a
leadership training program at WBMS. Thanks to
Robin
Bialecki
for all her fundraising efforts for strand C
7/8. Thanks to
Abbie
Jenks, a
Greenfield Community College professor, who will speak to
the peer mediators about the peace and social justice
program offered at GCC.

Dear Career Week Presenters, The students and staff of White Brook Middle School want to thank you for the extraordinary gifts of time and effort given during our 2007 Career Week. Judging from the comments of students and teachers, it was a very successful event. We especially appreciate the participation of those presenters who have returned year after year to share their experiences and encouragement with our students. We hope that you enjoyed your visit as much as we enjoyed your being here with us. Hope to see you again next year. |
