As an artist, I find that I am most inspired by three things: Cape Cod, my garden, and the energy and creativity of my students. Some of my favorite artists include Georgia O' Keefe, Janet Fish and Vincent van Gogh. Recently I find that I am most drawn to the work of Edward Hopper and his watercolors of New England. I enjoy studying watercolor and colored pencil with locally renowned artists.

In the past, I have done advertisement drawings and background design for corporate businesses and conventions as well as set design and painting for Technique Studio of Dance and local community theaters.

I received a B.F.A for Art Education from UMass-Amherst. I am married, live in South Hadley and have three daughters.
