The whole place was trashed. The lab equipment was thrown all over the place. The police were poking through everything while men in uniforms took notes. Katie sat in her cage and watched all the action. As she stared innocently at all the people in the room, they thought nothing of her except that she was a reading/writing gorilla. But what they didn't know was that she had a big secret. She watched as reporters interviewed some of the police officers.

"World's smartest scientist, Dr. Redrum, jumped out his 25 story window for unknown reasons last night..."

One of the men in uniforms came over to Katie's cage and smiled. "Hi Katie!" he said shyly.

Katie started grunting and running around like crazy. Then she dipped her finger in paint and wrote on the wall "redrum". They guy in the uniform nodded and said, "Aww, Katie, I'm sure you do miss Dr. Redrum. We all will!" Again Katie started grunting and shaking her cage.

The next day, when more people came, Katie had written "redrum" all over her walls. Soon after the police discovered that Dr. Redrum had not jumped out the window, but someone had thrown him out the window. They found this out from Katie's clues (redrum) on the walls.
