AAA Math : This site contains hundreds of pages of basic math skills, interactive practice, an explanation of the math topic on each page, several challenge games and randomly created math problems from K-8. The site is arranged by grade level or math topic. Consumer Jungle : Consumer Jungle features consumer education for 7th grader and up. It has interactive student activities (Credit Cave Activities include Find the Fees and the Credit Card Safari). Units include the Credit Cave, Surviving Solo(tips for living on your own), Esmarts (safe surfing on the web), Car-fari, and Jingle in the Jungle (the mysteries of phone, cell phones, and internet service). Figure This!: A series of fun problem solving challenges presented by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics that combines creative ideas with sound Math principles to produce meaningful learning. There are about 40 challenges like Why aren't manhole covers square? How many colors are needed on a map of the US? Fleetkids A suite of games, quizzes, and interactive lessons designed to teach kids about money. There are games on how to manage a factory, how to manage a baseball team, how to start your own business, how the stock market works, etc. Lemonade Stand: Players must decide how much lemonade to make, how much to charge per cup, and how much to spend on advertising. Mad Math Minutes: Gives practice in adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division facts. Math in Daily Life: This site answers the question how do numbers affect everyday decisions? (A bit advanced for some.) Mathpower.com: This site has many parts. Math Fundamentals and Elementary Algebra are the most appropriate for our grade level. Measurement Converter: This is an online calculator which can convert untis of measurement for weight, capacity and volume, length, area, speed, pressure, temperature, circular measure and time. It is simple to use. Megamaths: This is a good site to practice the times tables. Mr. Pitonyak's Pyramid Puzzle: This site features an interdisciplinary Web-based project designed for middle school math students to determine how much it would cost to build an Egyptian pyramid today. Multiflyer: A fun online game to help those learning multiplication tables. Multiplication Tips: These are student-submitted tips for calulating times five, times nine and times eleven in your head! Plane Math: This is an interesting site which has simulations of real world problem solving applications. Rollercoaster Physics for Middle School: Create your dream roller coaster ride and test it in a virtual amusement part. Word Problems for Kids: Actual word problems for grades five through twelve.
